Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough - 6 sheets
  • Mixed fresh fruits (e.g., apples, pears, and berries) - 200 grams
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground almonds - 30 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Powdered sugar - for dusting (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel and dice the apples and pears, then mix them with the berries in a bowl.
  3. Add honey, ground cinnamon, and ground almonds to the fruit mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again.
  5. Cut the layered phyllo dough into rectangles (about 10x15 cm).
  6. Place a spoonful of the fruit mixture at one end of each rectangle. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly to form a parcel.
  7. Place the filled briouates seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with a little more olive oil for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
