- Rice flour - 100 grams (for dough)
- Tapioca flour - 50 grams
- Water - 80 milliliters (adjust as needed)
- Salt - a pinch
- Oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the almonds, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and orange blossom water. Mix until a smooth paste forms.
- In another bowl, mix the rice flour, tapioca flour, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water until a smooth dough is formed.
- Divide the dough into small balls, then roll each ball into a thin circle on a lightly floured surface with rice flour.
- Place a tablespoon of the almond filling in the center of each circle, fold the dough over to create a triangle, and seal the edges with water or the beaten egg.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the briouates until they are golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
