  • Powdered sugar - 75 grams
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Orange blossom water - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Rice flour - 100 grams (for dough)
  • Tapioca flour - 50 grams
  • Water - 80 milliliters (adjust as needed)
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the almonds, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and orange blossom water. Mix until a smooth paste forms.
  2. In another bowl, mix the rice flour, tapioca flour, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water until a smooth dough is formed.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls, then roll each ball into a thin circle on a lightly floured surface with rice flour.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the almond filling in the center of each circle, fold the dough over to create a triangle, and seal the edges with water or the beaten egg.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the briouates until they are golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
