Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Wonton wrappers - 10 sheets
  • Egg - 1, beaten (for sealing)
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for brushing)
  • Lemon - 1, cut into wedges (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the chopped parsley, ground cinnamon, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  3. Take a wonton wrapper and place a tablespoon of the meat filling in the center. Brush the edges with beaten egg and fold the wrapper to form a triangle, pressing to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. Preheat your BBQ grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
  5. Brush both sides of the briouates with olive oil and place them on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven.
  6. Grill or bake for about 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.
