Ingredients
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Wonton wrappers - 10 sheets
- Egg - 1, beaten (for sealing)
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for brushing)
- Lemon - 1, cut into wedges (for serving)
Steps
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped parsley, ground cinnamon, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place a tablespoon of the meat filling in the center. Brush the edges with beaten egg and fold the wrapper to form a triangle, pressing to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Preheat your BBQ grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Brush both sides of the briouates with olive oil and place them on the grill or a baking sheet if using the oven.
- Grill or bake for about 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.
