Ingredients
- Gluten-free phyllo dough - 6 sheets
- Chicken breast - 200 grams, cooked and shredded
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1, beaten (for sealing)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional, for garnish)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the shredded chicken and chopped parsley, mixing well. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Lay one sheet of gluten-free phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush again with oil.
- Cut the layered phyllo dough into strips, approximately 10 cm wide.
- Place a tablespoon of the chicken filling at one end of each strip. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up to form a triangle shape, sealing the edges with the beaten egg.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
- Place the briouates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
