Ingredients
- Almonds - 100 grams
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Butter - 30 grams, melted
- Warka (or spring roll wrappers) - 4 sheets
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
- Water - 1 tablespoon, for sealing
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a food processor, blend the almonds until finely ground.
- Add sugar, cinnamon, and the whole egg to the ground almonds and process until well combined.
- Lay out a sheet of warka or spring roll wrapper on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter.
- Place a tablespoon of the almond mixture at one end of the wrapper and fold it over to create a triangle shape. Continue folding to the end, sealing with a little water.
- Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Arrange the briouats on a baking sheet and brush the tops with more melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with honey, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
