Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150 grams
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Egg wash (1 egg, beaten) - 1

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine almond flour, 2 eggs, and olive oil to form a dough. Knead until smooth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in cinnamon, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then mix in the chopped parsley and remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the rested dough between two sheets of parchment paper until thin. Cut into squares (about 10cm x 10cm).
  5. Place a tablespoon of the beef filling in the center of each square, fold diagonally to form a triangle, and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Arrange the briouats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
