Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 200 grams
- Almond flour - 100 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large, beaten
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground lamb to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour and beaten egg to form a dough. If too crumbly, add a bit of water until manageable.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into thin circles. Place a spoonful of the lamb mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling to create a triangle or pocket shape, sealing the edges with a fork.
- Place the filled briouat bites on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with remaining olive oil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm.
