Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Powdered sugar - 50 grams
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Orange blossom water - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegan butter - 30 grams, melted
  • Rice paper sheets - 4 sheets
  • Oil for frying - 200 ml
  • Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and melted vegan butter.
  2. Add the orange blossom water to the mixture and stir until it forms a thick paste.
  3. Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper sheet into the water for about 10 seconds until soft.
  4. Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface and add about 1 tablespoon of the almond mixture at one end.
  5. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it tightly to form a small cigar shape. Repeat this process with the remaining sheets and filling.
  6. In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the briouats in the oil, frying until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the briouats from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top while still warm.
  8. Serve warm as a snack or dessert.
