Ingredients

  • Canned tuna (in olive oil) - 150 grams
  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  2. In a bowl, combine the canned tuna (drained), cooked onion, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Add the almond flour and egg to the mixture and combine until a thick filling forms.
  4. Lay out a square of parchment paper or use a clean surface, and divide the filling into small portions (about 2 tablespoons each).
  5. Take a square of parchment paper and place a portion of filling in the center. Fold the paper over to create a triangle shape, pressing the edges to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.
  6. Heat enough olive oil in a pan to shallow fry the briouats over medium heat.
  7. Fry the briouats for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve warm.
