Ingredients

  • Rice paper sheets - 4 sheets
  • Sesame seeds - 100 grams
  • Almonds - 50 grams, ground
  • Honey - 50 grams
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground almonds, sesame seeds, honey, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the water until just warm, and then use it to soften the rice paper sheets one at a time for about 10-15 seconds.
  3. Place a softened rice paper sheet on a flat surface and spoon a small amount of the sesame filling onto the lower third of the sheet.
  4. Fold the sides over the filling and then roll it up tightly to form a small cylinder. Repeat with the remaining sheets and filling.
  5. In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the briouats until golden brown and crispy on all sides, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve warm.
