Ingredients
- Chicken breast - 200 grams, cooked and shredded
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Olive oil - for frying
Steps
- In a pan over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add the shredded chicken, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley to the pan. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly. Stir in the almond flour and beaten egg until well combined.
- Take a small piece of low-carb dough (you can use a low-carb tortilla or dough alternative) and place a tablespoon of filling in the center.
- Fold the dough over to create a triangle or a rectangle, sealing the edges with a fork or by pinching them together.
- In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the briouats for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels before serving.
