Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 200 grams, cooked and shredded
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Olive oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a pan over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
  2. Add the shredded chicken, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley to the pan. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes until heated through.
  3. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly. Stir in the almond flour and beaten egg until well combined.
  4. Take a small piece of low-carb dough (you can use a low-carb tortilla or dough alternative) and place a tablespoon of filling in the center.
  5. Fold the dough over to create a triangle or a rectangle, sealing the edges with a fork or by pinching them together.
  6. In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the briouats for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels before serving.
