Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough - 4 sheets
  • Low-fat ricotta cheese - 150 grams
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Fresh mint - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, crumbled feta cheese, chopped parsley, chopped mint, minced garlic, black pepper, and cumin. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and brush it again with olive oil.
  4. Cut the layered phyllo dough into strips about 10 cm wide.
  5. Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture at one end of each strip, fold the sides over the filling, and roll it up to form a triangle. Continue folding the triangle down the strip until you reach the end. Seal with a little olive oil.
  6. Place the filled briouats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
