Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 250 grams
- Dry yeast - 5 grams
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Salt - 5 grams
- Milk - 150 ml, warmed
- Egg - 1 large
- Butter - 50 grams, softened
- Sesame seeds - 30 grams
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and the egg.
- Mix the ingredients until a dough forms, then knead in the softened butter until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and shape it into two round balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the dough balls with a little water and sprinkle sesame seeds generously on top.
- Let the shaped dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
