- Puff pastry sheets - 2 (about 250 grams total)
- Egg, beaten - 1 (for egg wash)
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground lamb to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped cilantro, parsley, cinnamon, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut them into 4 equal squares.
- Place a generous spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to create triangles or rectangles, sealing the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
