- Puff pastry - 250 grams
- Ground lamb - 150 grams
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Chopped fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1, beaten (for egg wash)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and ground lamb to the skillet, cooking until the lamb is browned.
- Stir in the cinnamon, cumin, salt, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in the honey and chopped parsley. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 8 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of the lamb mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the squares over to create triangles and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
