- Dried fava beans - 200 grams

- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 750 milliliters
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Rinse the dried fava beans under cold water and soak them in water overnight.
- Drain the soaked fava beans and place them in a pot with 750 milliliters of fresh water.
- Add the garlic cloves, salt, cumin, paprika, and black pepper to the pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the beans are tender.
- Once cooked, drain the beans and transfer them to a blender or food processor.
- Blend the beans with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until smooth and creamy, adding a little water if necessary to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve the Bissara warm, drizzled with extra olive oil, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
- Enjoy with crusty bread for dipping.
