  • Canned chickpeas - 200 grams, drained and rinsed
  • Water - 800 milliliters
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon - 1, juiced

Steps

  1. Rinse the dried fava beans under cold water and soak them in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain the soaked fava beans and place them in a pot with 800 ml of fresh water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes until tender.
  3. Add the canned chickpeas, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir well and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
