Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 300 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100 grams
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Ground beef - 200 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ras el Hanout spice blend - 1 tablespoon
  • Canned diced tomatoes - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Grate the cauliflower using a food processor or box grater, then steam it for about 5 minutes until tender. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the steamed cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and the egg. Mix until well combined and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the cauliflower mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shaping it into a pizza crust about 1 cm thick. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While the crust is baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
  6. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir in the ras el hanout and canned tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Once the crust is done, remove it from the oven and spread the beef tagine mixture evenly over the top.
  8. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
