- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Ground ginger - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon

- Beef broth - 250 ml
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Almonds - 30 grams, toasted and chopped
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a tagine or heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the beef cubes to the pot, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle in cumin, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, salt, and black pepper; stir well to coat the beef.
- Pour in the beef broth and honey, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low, allowing it to cook for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After 60 minutes, add the chopped prunes to the pot and continue cooking for another 15-20 minutes until the beef is tender.
- Once done, sprinkle the toasted almonds over the tagine and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
