Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Dried prunes - 100 grams, pitted
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon - 1, cut into wedges (for serving)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated beef cubes and dried prunes alternately onto the soaked skewers.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the skewers garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
