Ingredients

  • semolina - 100 grams
  • water - 400 milliliters
  • milk - 200 milliliters
  • honey - 2 tablespoons
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • chopped almonds - 30 grams
  • chopped dates - 30 grams
  • eggs - 2 large

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and milk to a gentle boil, then add the semolina gradually while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Add honey, salt, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes, then stir in the chopped almonds and dates.
  5. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and then fold them into the semolina mixture until well combined.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and set.
