Baked Kefta

- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Tomato sauce - 200 grams
- Red bell pepper - 1, diced
- Zucchini - 1 medium, diced
- Egg - 1, beaten
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, cinnamon, paprika, salt, black pepper, and the beaten egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the meat mixture into 8 small patties and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl, mix the diced red bell pepper and zucchini with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread the vegetables around the meat patties on the baking tray.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the meat patties and vegetables.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the keftas are cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
