- White fish fillets (such as cod or haddock) - 400 grams
- Fresh parsley - 30 grams, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 30 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon slices - 4 slices, for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, combine the chopped parsley, cilantro, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create the chermoula marinade.
- Place the fish fillets in a baking dish and pour the chermoula marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Arrange the lemon slices on top of the marinated fish.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
