Ingredients
- Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
- Fresh fish (like tilapia or snapper) - 200 grams, diced
- Lime juice - 60 milliliters (about 4 tablespoons)
- Red onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Cucumber - 1 small, diced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the diced fish and lime juice. Ensure the fish is fully submerged in the lime juice and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes until the fish is opaque.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare the vegetables: chop the red onion, tomato, cucumber, and cilantro, and set aside.
- Once the fish is ready, drain excess lime juice and mix in the chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, and cilantro. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Lightly toast the corn tortillas on both sides until they are crispy but not burnt.
- To assemble, place the crispy tortillas on a serving plate, top each with the ceviche mixture, and finish with slices of avocado.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy Tostadas de Ceviche!
