Ingredients

  • Dried shrimp - 100 grams
  • Corn flour - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Green onion - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Soak the dried shrimp in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften, then drain and chop finely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, corn flour, water, cilantro, green onion, garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until a thick batter forms.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the shrimp mixture into the skillet for each patty, flattening them slightly with a spatula.
  5. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Add more olive oil as needed.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels before serving.
