Ingredients
- Venison steak - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Red onion - 1/4, thinly sliced
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Salsa (optional) - to taste
Steps
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Cut the venison steak into thin strips and add it to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated venison strips. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the meat is browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the venison is cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves by washing and drying them, then arrange them on a serving platter.
- Once cooked, remove the venison from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before assembling the tacos.
- To assemble, place a few strips of venison on each lettuce leaf, top with sliced red onion, avocado, and chopped cilantro. Add salsa if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Tacos de Venado!
