  • Cremini mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced

  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Corn tortillas - 4 small
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Avocado - 1, sliced

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced Portobello and Cremini mushrooms to the skillet, cooking for about 8-10 minutes until tender and golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle in the cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, stirring to combine, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. While the mushrooms are cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing a generous spoonful of the mushroom mixture onto each tortilla.
  8. Top with sliced avocado and chopped cilantro, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
