Ingredients

  • Beef flank steak - 250 grams
  • Corn tortillas - 4 small
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce - 2 peppers
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Onion - 1/4, finely chopped

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Slice the beef flank steak into thin strips and add to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the chipotle sauce by blending the chipotle peppers, chopped tomato, lime juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated beef strips. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or on a hot griddle for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the beef on each tortilla, then drizzle with the chipotle sauce, and top with chopped onion and cilantro.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
