- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion - 1/4 cup, diced
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Tomato - 1 medium, diced
- Salsa verde - 1/4 cup
Steps
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, lime juice, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

- Once cooked, let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.
- While the steak rests, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- To assemble the tacos, place a few slices of grilled steak on each tortilla, then top with chopped cilantro, diced red onion, sliced avocado, diced tomato, and a spoonful of salsa verde.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Tacos de Res a la Tampiqueña!
