- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Chopped onion - 50 grams
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Iceberg) - 4 large leaves
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well combined.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in chopped cilantro.
- Prepare the lettuce leaves as taco shells by rinsing and drying them.
- Spoon the beef mixture into the lettuce leaves, top with avocado slices, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
