Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped onion - 50 grams
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves (Romaine or Iceberg) - 4 large leaves
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the spices are well combined.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in chopped cilantro.
  6. Prepare the lettuce leaves as taco shells by rinsing and drying them.
  7. Spoon the beef mixture into the lettuce leaves, top with avocado slices, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
