Ingredients
- Pork shoulder (Halal) - 300 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves, minced - 2
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Corn tortillas - 4 small
- Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Lime wedges - 1 lime
- Salsa verde (optional) - 50 grams
Steps
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
- Cut the pork shoulder into small cubes and add to the marinade, mixing well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated pork and grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
- While the pork is grilling, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan over low heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side until pliable.
- Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the grilled pork on each tortilla, topping with fresh cilantro, and serving with lime wedges and salsa verde on the side.
