Ingredients
- Pork shoulder - 300 grams, diced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
- Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Radishes - 4, thinly sliced
Steps
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced pork shoulder and cook until browned on all sides, about 7-10 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the ground cumin, dried oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the pork evenly with the spices.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 15 minutes until the pork is tender and cooked through.
- While the pork is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are pliable.
- Once the pork is ready, assemble the tacos by placing a generous amount of the pork mixture on each tortilla. Top with fresh cilantro, avocado slices, and radishes.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
