Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder - 300 grams, diced
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Avocado - 1, sliced
  • Radishes - 4, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced pork shoulder and cook until browned on all sides, about 7-10 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the ground cumin, dried oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the pork evenly with the spices.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for 15 minutes until the pork is tender and cooked through.
  5. While the pork is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are pliable.
  6. Once the pork is ready, assemble the tacos by placing a generous amount of the pork mixture on each tortilla. Top with fresh cilantro, avocado slices, and radishes.
  7. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
