  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/4 small, thinly sliced
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Avocado - 1/2, sliced

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, warm the corn tortillas on a separate pan for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.
  6. To assemble, place a few pieces of grilled chicken on each tortilla, and top with chopped cilantro, sliced red onion, and avocado.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
