Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (like tilapia or cod) - 250 grams
  • Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cabbage, finely shredded - 1 cup
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Corn tortillas - 4 small
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix chipotle peppers, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated fish fillets.
  4. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  5. While the fish is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  6. Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the skillet and break it into pieces.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of fish on each tortilla, then top with shredded cabbage and chopped cilantro.
  8. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
