Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., tilapia or cod) - 200 grams
  • Lime juice - 60 ml
  • Red onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, diced
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Avocado - 1 small, sliced
  • Corn tortillas - 4 small
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Cut the white fish fillets into small cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. Pour the lime juice over the fish, ensuring it is well coated, and let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator until the fish looks opaque.
  3. While the fish is marinating, prepare the vegetables: chop the red onion, dice the tomato and cucumber, and chop the cilantro.
  4. Once the fish is done marinating, add the chopped vegetables and cilantro to the fish, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  6. To assemble the tacos, place a generous spoonful of the ceviche mixture onto each tortilla.
  7. Top with sliced avocado and drizzle with a bit of olive oil.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your fresh Tacos de Pescado al Ceviche.
