- Lime - 1, juiced
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Corn tortillas - 4
- Red onion - 50 grams, thinly sliced
- Fresh cilantro - ¼ cup, chopped
- Avocado - 1, sliced
Steps
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Rinse the nopales under cold water and pat them dry.
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush the nopales with the olive oil mixture on both sides.
- Place the nopales on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
- While the nopales are grilling, warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 1 minute on each side, until they are soft and pliable.
- Once the nopales are cooked, remove them from the grill and let them cool slightly before slicing them into strips.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the grilled nopales on each tortilla, topping with sliced red onion, fresh cilantro, and avocado.
- Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
