Ingredients

  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 150 grams
  • Scallops - 100 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Red onion, finely diced - 50 grams
  • Avocado, sliced - 1 small
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, scallops, olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix well and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated seafood and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and the scallops are opaque.
  3. While the seafood is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  4. Once the seafood is cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the grilled seafood on each tortilla. Top with chopped cilantro, diced red onion, and avocado slices.
  6. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
