Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Almond flour - 100 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Pico de gallo - 100 grams
  • Queso fresco - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, cumin, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined and form into 2 equal patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the sope base by mixing almond flour, egg, and a pinch of salt in a bowl until you form a dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 2 portions and shape each into a small circle about 1 cm thick. Use your fingers to create a slight edge around the perimeter to hold the toppings.
  5. In a separate skillet, cook the sope bases on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, place each patty on a sope base. Top with sliced avocado, pico de gallo, crumbled queso fresco, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your low-carb Sopes Burger!
