  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Shrimp - 150 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Squid - 100 grams, cleaned and sliced
  • Fish fillet (white fish) - 100 grams, cut into chunks
  • Corn tortillas - 2, cut into strips (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the diced red bell pepper and tomato to the pot, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Pour in the fish stock or water, and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  4. Stir in the chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
  5. Add the shrimp, squid, and fish fillet to the pot, and let the soup simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then remove from heat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with tortilla strips and additional cilantro if desired.
