Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 400 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Salsa verde - 100 grams
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Queso fresco - 50 grams, crumbled

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cumin. Mix well until evenly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the avocado and crumbling the queso fresco.
  5. Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the skillet and allow them to rest for a few minutes.
  6. To assemble, place a lettuce leaf on each plate, followed by a burger patty, a generous spoonful of salsa verde, sliced avocado, and crumbled queso fresco.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Salsa Verde Burger!
