Ingredients
- Ground beef - 400 grams
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Chihuahua cheese (or Monterey Jack) - 150 grams, shredded
- Jalapeños - 2 tablespoons, diced
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large leaves
- Tomato - 1, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until evenly combined.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded Chihuahua cheese over the patties and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- While the cheese is melting, prepare the toppings. Slice the avocado and tomato, and chop the fresh cilantro.
- Once the cheese is melted, remove the patties from the skillet. Place each patty on a lettuce leaf, top with diced jalapeños, sliced avocado, tomato, and chopped cilantro.
- Fold the lettuce leaf to form a wrap around the burger and serve immediately.
