  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon

  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roast the poblano peppers directly over a gas flame or under the broiler until the skin is charred and blistered. Place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let steam for about 10 minutes.
  3. Once the peppers are cool, peel off the skin, remove the seeds, and slice them into strips.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced red onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  6. Spread the sautéed onion and garlic mixture evenly over the dough.
