Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • White fish fillets (like tilapia or cod) - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Red bell pepper, diced - 1/2 cup
  • Green bell pepper, diced - 1/2 cup
  • Red onion, thinly sliced - 1/4 cup
  • Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado, sliced - 1/2 medium

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the diced red and green bell peppers and sliced red onion to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  4. While vegetables are cooking, season the fish fillets with black pepper, cumin, and oregano.
  5. In another skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaky.
  6. Remove the fish from the skillet and flake it into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  8. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  9. Evenly distribute the sautéed vegetables and flaked fish over the sauce.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp.
  11. Once done, remove from the oven and drizzle with lime juice and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
  12. Top with sliced avocado before serving.
