Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Diced tomatoes - 200 grams
  • Onion - 50 grams, diced
  • Jalapeño - 1 small, diced
  • Cilantro - 15 grams, chopped
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Cream cheese - 50 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and jalapeños; sauté until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, lime juice, and chopped cilantro. Mix well and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese and half of the cheddar cheese until smooth.
  6. In a baking dish, layer the beef mixture, then spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve hot.
