Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod) - 300 grams
  • Lime - 1, juiced
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1/4 cup
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Marinate the fish in this mixture for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the rice flour and cornstarch. Gradually add water to create a smooth batter.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Dip each marinated fish fillet into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
  6. Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the fried fish from the pan and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
