Steps
- Begin by cutting the guava paste into small, even squares, about 2x2 cm.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
- Place one corn tortilla in the skillet and warm it for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
- Remove the tortilla from the skillet and place a square of guava paste in the center.
- Fold the tortilla over the guava paste to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal it.
- Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and guava paste.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of coconut oil to the skillet and return it to medium heat.
- Carefully place the folded papalotes in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove them from the skillet and sprinkle with cinnamon powder and chopped nuts.
- Drizzle with honey if desired and serve warm.
