Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Clean the nopales under cool running water and remove any spines with a sharp knife.
  3. Slice the nopales into 1/2 inch thick strips.
  4. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  5. Coat the nopales strips evenly with the marinade.
  6. Place the nopales on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have grill marks.
  7. Remove the nopales from the grill and drizzle with lime juice.
