Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Mole sauce - 100 grams
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, shredded
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, warm the mole sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until heated through.
- Once the patties are cooked, top each with a generous spoonful of mole sauce and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover the skillet for a minute to melt the cheese.
- On a plate, lay down two large lettuce leaves for each burger as a base.
- Place the cheesy mole-covered patties on top of the lettuce. Add slices of avocado and a few rings of red onion.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
