Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Lime - 1, juiced
  • Sour cream - 50 grams
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Red onion - 1/4 small, diced
  • Jalapeño - 1, diced (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the pico de gallo by mixing the diced tomato, red onion, jalapeño (if using), and half of the chopped cilantro in a bowl. Set aside.
  5. In another small bowl, mix the sour cream, lime juice, and the remaining cilantro to create the lime crema.
  6. Once the patties are done, assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a large lettuce leaf, topping with sliced avocado and pico de gallo, and drizzling with the lime crema.
