  • Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Shrimp - 200 grams, peeled and deveined
  • Calamari - 100 grams, sliced
  • Mussels - 200 grams, cleaned
  • Avocado - 1, diced
  • Corn tortillas - 2, for serving

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the diced red bell pepper and cook for an additional 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and fish stock. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then season with lime juice, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the shrimp, calamari, and mussels to the pot, cooking for about 5-7 minutes or until the seafood is cooked through and the mussels have opened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro.
  6. Serve the mariscada hot, garnished with diced avocado and accompanied by warmed corn tortillas.
